Howard is a recognized thought leader in executive coaching, people strategy, and organizational culture, focusing on maximizing human effectiveness to achieve the desired culture of an organization. Howard helps businesses align leadership behavior with business objectives. His expertise includes talent development and retention, executive succession, board effectiveness, onboarding, and executive team dynamics.

Howard’s clients span Financial Services, Manufacturing, Consulting, Media, and High-Tech industries, including American Express, Pepsi, DowChemical, and Motorola. Named one of the world’s top 50 coaches, he co-authored The Art and Practice of Leadership Coaching and Leading Organizational Learning. His article “Leadership Is A Contact Sport” was recognized among the top 25 most influential articles of the past quarter century.

Howard earned his MBA from Simon Fraser University and pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Michigan. He serves on advisory boards for coaching organizations and boards of directors for several companies. A global speaker who has addressed audiences in over 120 countries, Howard lives in Nevada and enjoys hiking, reading, and movies, while maintaining strong ties to his roots in Western Canada.
